U.S. M1833 Enlisted Shell Jacket for Dragoons and
U.S. M1846 Enlisted Shell Jacket for Mounted Rifles |

M1833 Dragoon & Mounted Rifles Shell Jacket: was
used from 1833 through 1850 by Dragoons and 1846 through 1850 by Mounted
Rifles, including during the Mexican War. Dragoons were the mounted service
before 1846 when a new branch of service, the Mounted Rifles were
authorized. Both branches were re-designated “Cavalry” in 1861. Mounted
Rifles wore this same jacket until the uniform change in 1851. Dragoons
receive the Eagle "D" buttons, Rifles receive the Eagle with plain shield.
Our jacket is made using the dark blue 19 ounce field service
wool and is cotton lined. The 3/8” yellow worsted lace is applied to the
jacket in the appropriate places. Collar is 2-5/8” high. The entire front of
the collar closes fully. The back features two bolsters to hold up the waist
belt. Two waistline pockets and Shoulder Straps are faithfully copied to
insure accuracy.
Twelve small buttons on the front, two on the functional
cuffs, two on each side of the collar and a single button on the shoulder
straps. Buttons are supplied, but left loose for you to sew on.

items take 9 to 11 weeks for delivery; UNLESS the item has a delivery time listed, then that is the delivery time.
Most other clothing (WHITE Cotton Shirts, Cravats, Suspenders, Felt Hats, etc.) take 2 - 4 weeks for delivery.
