Princess Eugenia Ball Gown  “Princess Eugenia”   is the first of the Imperial line of superior ball gowns and reception gowns.      This stunning rendition of a Victorian “Natural Form” period ball gown is destined to become a prized family heirloom. Genuine aquamarine and real freshwater pearls heighten the glamour, richness and value of this gown. Princess Eugenia Bodice Princess Eugenia Collar Back     Aquamarine briolettes, blue freshwater pearls and hand beading have been added to the French embroidered lace of the wide Bertha collar to which silk organza ribbon flowers were added as accents. The silk organza ribbon flowers with blue pearl centers are featured again at the neckline and waistline of the ball gown bodice. The bodice sleeves are in the Chrysanthemum style.     The bodice is constructed of French Blue Floral Bengaline is self-piped, closes in back with hooks and eyes, and is fully boned and lined in blue cotton sateen. The bodice fits a 40 inch bust and 32 inch waist. Princess Eugenia Back      The 1878 Fantail Skirt features three rows of front ruching and a bottom row of box pleated Bengaline. Two rows of pleated Bengaline finish the train. The waist of the skirt is 31 inches and the skirt front is 40 inches. The skirt closes in back with hooks and eyes.      The overskirt of French lace is likewise adorned with jewels and pearls. The overskirt is front closed and lifted in the center back with a band of pleated organza and satin ribbon and silk organza ribbon flowers.      This gown is shown over a narrow hoop skirt and a bustle pad (not included). The pearl necklace is also not included.      Meticulous care and authentic sewing techniques have been employed in the construction of this gown.
