C.S. (Confederate) Officer's Shell Jacket    General Information  CS Major General's Shelljacket w/Standard Lapel, Branch Piped Collar, Cuffs & Edge (instead of Branch Facing) in Cadet Grey    Our Civil War Confederate Officer's Uniform Single Breasted (SB) or Double Breasted (DB) Shell Jackets (Shelljackets) have the branch of service colors, solid faced collar and cuffs and a 1/8" piping that runs down the front and around the bottom of the coat. Several wool colors are featured at the base price and some higher quality wools are available at extra cost. An Officers grade (General Officer, Senior Officer, Company Officer or Junior Officer) was distinguished by the number of rows of sleeve braid, his branch (Artillery, Cavalry, Engineer, Infantry or Staff) by the trim color and his rank by his collar insignia. The coat is lined with black cotton and the sleeve natural muslin. The coat has an inside left breast pocket. Coat has 14 button front, other quantities (as pictured at left) are available at extra cost. J.E.B. Stuart's Shell Jacket     General Officers coats have the buttons spaced in four sets of twos for Brigade Generals and on 3 sets of threes for Major Generals. All other ranks have the buttons equally spaced. Sleeves have tube style cuffs (non-functional) with 2 small buttons per cuff. C.S. Staff buttons are supplied, but not sewn on. Some State Seal and optional buttons are available at extra cost.     Branch of Service Colors on uniforms are: Generals, Staff and Engineer Officers; Buff (crème color). Artillery: Red. Cavalry; Yellow. Infantry; Light Blue or French Blue. Medical; Black. Other early war militia colors are available also. The branch trim is added as Branch (facing) colored Collar, Cuffs and Piped Edge - OR - as Piped Collar, Cuffs and Edge, with the collar and cuffs matching the color of the jacket. The Colored Lapel option adds the Branch Color to the inside of the lapel.      Sleeve Braid: This coat is available: Without any Sleeve Braid, with 1 row (Lt's), 2 rows (Capt's), 3 rows (Major, Lt. Col or Col) or 4 rows (General) of standard 1/8" Gold Soutache or with 1 row (Lt's), 2 rows (Capt's), 3 rows (Major, Lt. Col or Col) or 4 rows (General) of Deluxe 1/8" Gold Flat Braid. Lt.
