M1841 Trousers, Summer for Enlisted, NCOs and Officers, Mexican War
    M1841 Officers Summer Foot Trousers: Made of 10 ounce white cotton duck. Side seam pockets. Fly front with cord tie in back for adjustment. Split back with cord tie for adjustment; without back yoke. Pewter buttons are used with the double front pattern for suspenders featured.

    The Summer Uniform (Coat and Trousers) was authorized for use from May 1st through September 30th.

    Stripes were not authorized for use on White Cotton Trousers for any rank.
